VUKARI What an astounding debut album. And the music to come only kept the sound emerging. Truly standout bebop that I'm sure John Coltrane would enjoy and perhaps does from Heaven. Favorite track: Indivisible.

John Cratchley Nat Birchall...the man who would be Coltrane: not a copyist but an acolyte, perhaps (a bit like Pete King and his total immersion in Charlie Parker)...there have been a lot of Coltrane 'emulators' (some more successful than others) but Nat is definitely a cut-above; he "lives the jazz life",you feel, and that shows in the commitment in his playing.
He doesn't reinvent the modal wheel but he sure keeps it rolling...
I could listen to him all day (and frequently do).
